My sweet Daddy started bringing my siblings and I to the zoo back in the 1960s. I can remember the excitement of walking through the entrance and the wonderful experience of seeing all the animals and the different sights. The cherry on top was the “Mickey Mouse head balloon in a balloon” he would buy each of us as we left. My husband and I continued that precious tradition of zoo visits with our sons, and now our grandson. We have been members for quite a few years, and plan to be for many years to come. Zoo Lights, the dinosaur/insects/ocean exhibits and carousel rides are bonuses we enjoy as well. Thanks for the memories, Houston Zoo, and Happy 100th Birthday!!
